The majority of patterns shown are "repeat" patterns, with elements repeating over and over, creating an overall upholstery design. Stripes can be used horizontally or vertically and can be extended in any direction. Squares are more suitable for square shapes or nearly square, such as some chair seats or ottomans. Additional space on any side can be filled in with background color or small scale elements. Below are a few examples. Many more are available from the individual pattern pages.
